Adult Education
We strive to provide educational, interesting and fun projects throughout the year.
Some of the opportunities we offer:
- Sunday mornings - Ivrit with Dorit - Beginners Hebrew literacy taught by Dorit Galor.
- Monday morning class - with Rabbi Fasman (currently not offered)
- Evening classes with Rabbi Fasman (currently not offered)
- Seudah Shelishit - Shabbat afternoon study following the afternoon worship (Mincha.) Light meal and discussion.
- Shabbat Lunch 'n Learns - Periodic learning sessions following Shabbat services covering a variety of topics
- Guest speakers and Scholars-In-Residence
Pertinent topics are presented and discussed with guest speakers who are experts in their fields. These are sponsored by the Leo & Sara Wolf Education Fund, Asher Lecture Fund, and the Needleman Fund.
NEW classes being offered:
Torah trope class: taught by Howard Belsky
Meets on 1st & 3rd Sundays, in the Guller Chapel, 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday evenings: Howard holds a remedial
haftarah trope class from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
No particular haftarah, just reviewing the trope.
Dorit Galor's beginning Hebrew class:
Meets on Sunday mornings from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
in the library. (synagogue office)
Ron Fagerstrom study sessions:
Tuesday mornings following minyan, devoted to the
Practice of Mussar – identify and break through the
obstacles to your inherent holiness, or simply put,
improving your character traits.
