Shaare Zedek Sisterhood
Nationally, we are a member of the Women's League of Conservative Judaism; and our region is made up of parts of Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario, Canada, Minnesota, Iowa, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Texas.
Our St. Louis Shaare Zedek membership is made up of ladies who have grown up in St. Louis and those who have moved here. And though we also run the gamut of ages and interests, we always manage to work together to financially help almost all areas of the synagogue and its programs. We encourage Jewish learning and observance of holiday customs and traditions; and we take our commitment to the youth groups of all ages in the synagogue very seriously. For example, we help with Jewish summer camp scholarships; we assist USY with convention costs; we support the Religious School, and we help with unbudgeted items for the Early Childhood Center .
Our catered Kiddush lunches provide a wide range of choices and price levels, and our Kiddush chair Sue Propper will work with you from your choice of tablecloth colors through dessert and how you want the tables set up and displayed. These kiddush luncheons provide our major source of revenue, so every dollar over cost goes directly to the synagogue. For any type of occasion, we suggest you check out everything our Sisterhood kiddushes have to offer. Please see our ad on the right.
Thank you for your interest in our Sisterhood. Any questions, please contact me.
