Young Families at Shaare Zedek

DorWays is Shaare Zedek’s group for young members and their families. Dor in Hebrew means generation and it is our hope that DorWays serves as an entryway for young members and their families into synagogue life at Shaare Zedek! We currently have fifty member families, and many prospective families participating in our programs and enriching their lives and the lives around them. Ongoing Events for families (please check calendar for dates)
- Family Time is a weekly parent-child class for babies and parents/caregivers offered Friday mornings from 10:30-11:30am.
- Families are invited to join the Early Childhood Center's musical celebration of Havdalah (Monday mornings at 9am) and Shabbat (Friday mornings at 11:30am). Drop in or contact our ECC Director Marty Schaeffer.
- Rhythm and Ruach Family Shabbat Services (parents + children 5 and under) led by Jeff and Shelley Dean, begins Shabbat mornings at 11 AM in the Community Room.
- Kidrash (Kids + Midrash=Kidrash!) Storytelling Shabbat for families with 1st-5th graders. Includes singing, stories and family discussion. Begins at 11 AM in the Chapel. Most dates coordinate with Rhythm and Ruach services. Upcoming dates are February 25th, April 14th, May 5th and June 9th.
