Chesed (Loving-Kindness) Committee
Members of the Samuel Frank Chesed Committee visit Shaare Zedek members in their homes, in the hospital, and in nursing homes. When a member dies or loses a close family member, they are available to stay at a Shiva house to ready the house for the mourners while the family is at the cemetery; they also provide a meal during Shiva. Chesed Committee members deliver Meals on Wheels, call members who are ill, run errands for those who are in need of some extra help, arrange for Mi Sheberachs to be said, arrange for rides to/from shul, and much more. Funding for the Chesed Committee is provided by the Samuel Frank Chesed Fund. Individual donations are also welcome.
